If one takes 227 islands and spends a minimum of 3 days on each of them -which is the bare minimum they can spend- they will need 681 days to visit each of them. So, a little under two years.

Like a dream come true. As expected, the Greek islands have a much slower pace of life. Everything is calmer and more relaxed, and the natural beauty is overwhelming. You can learn more about some off-the-beaten path Greek islands as well.

Although the smaller islands get deserted in winter, big islands like Crete maintain their beauty. In winter, they are much colder, and much quieter, but nevertheless, stunning. You can read about the best time to visit the Greek islands as well.

Some of the best choices are Paros, Naxos, Crete, Rhodes, and Corfu. They are all gorgeous, with plenty of things to do, and beaches that will enchant you.

In our opinion, Folegandros is one of the most -if not the most- authentic Greek islands. It is not swamped by tourists, maintains a traditional character, and offers its visitors a peek into a genuine Greek island lifestyle.

In our opinion, Corfu is a destination that never fails to mesmerize older crowds. The culture and quiet of the island, along with its relaxed nightlife and accessible beaches, make it a true paradise for silver tourism.

In Greece, there are approximately 6,000 islands and islets. Of all these islands, only 227 are inhabited.

Although it depends on which season you decide to visit Greece, overall the island of Naxos, Rhodes, and Crete are the ones that will not break the bank. Especially, compared to the likes of Mykonos and Santorini.

You need to do a bit of research or ask the experts (us). For a vibrant nightlife and cosmopolitan vibe, we suggest Mykonos and Paros. For romantic vacations in Greece, we love Milos and Santorini. For family and food-oriented vacations, Naxos and Crete.

There are plenty of Greek islands with a more discreet -if any- party scene. Corfu, Folegandros, Milos, and Skiathos, are not considered party islands along with many many more.

It might sound terribly cliche, but there is no better Greek island for a wedding proposal than Santorini. The majestic volcanic landscape will make your engagement photos a piece of art! You can also discover the ideal Greek islands for a honeymoon.
